“2021 Faces of Our Veterans”

“2021 Faces of Our Veterans”

The West Tennessee Veterans Coalition is coordinating “2021 Faces of Our Veterans” to recognize and honor area veterans during the November Veterans Day weekend activities.

Free photographs of area veterans will be made by Tommy Azbill Photography.  Mr. Azbill will be assisted by veteran Larry Newsom. Each veteran photographed will be given a free 8x10 color print of their photograph.

All veterans are encouraged to attend the upcoming photography sessions at the American Legion Post 12 at 165 Perry Switch Road.  July photo dates are July 13 at 1-4 pm, July 20 at 6-8 pm and July 27 at 1-4 pm.

August photo dates at American Legion Post 12 include August 10 at 6-8 pm, August 17 at 1-4 pm, and August 24 at 6-8 pm.

Any church, civic group, care facility, or veterans’ group which would like to schedule a photo shoot, please contact Jackie Utley at 731-293-5055 or JUtleyDAR@gmail.com.

Veterans are encouraged to wear any portion of their uniform, or bring any service memorabilia that they’d like to feature in their photograph. Each veteran photographed will receive a free 8x10 print of their photograph.  Photographs will be compiled into 30” x 40” posters for display during Veterans Day commemoration.

These veterans’ photographs will be assembled into collages and displayed at City Hall, and other locations during the 2021 Veterans Day weekend commemoration in November.

West Tennessee Veterans Coalition Chair Jackie Utley said, “We look forward to recognizing and honoring the service and sacrifice of all area veterans.  They have given so much to our country. It’s a great privilege to preserve their images and memories for the future.”
