Plan to attend May 24 at Carl Perkins Civic Center:  Senior Expo encourages region’s older Americans to ‘Engage at Every Age’

Southwest Tennessee Development District’s Area Agency on Aging & Disability is hosting a Senior Expo in celebration of “Older Americans Month” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson. This fun-filled, sports-themed day is open to all senior citizens in the region and specifically celebrates the older population in the counties served by Southwest Tennessee Development District:  Chester, Decatur, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Madison and McNairy.

Vendors at the Senior Expo will host games and provide information for attendees.

Admission of $10 per person covers concession-stand-type food in the vendor area, photo booth, games, lunch and entertainment, and information regarding health related issues, sessions on Medicare and other senior-related topics. Pre-registration is required; there is no at-the-door registration.
