SPRING CLEAN UP IN CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT FOUR

FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 21, 2018

JACKSON, TENNESSEE, April 16, 2018 – Keep Jackson Beautiful, along with other
organizations in Keep America Beautiful’s national network of community-based affiliates,
are planning volunteer events and experiential environment education programs
structured to beautify parks, reduce waste and increase recycling, remove litter and debris.
“I am asking and urging all neighborhood watch groups, street captains, all area churches,
youth groups, businesses, civic organizations, fraternities and sororities (total District Four
community) to get involved in the Keep Jackson Beautiful Annual Great American Clean-
up to help keep our community strong and vital with a festive and attractive atmosphere,”
said Councilman Buchanan. The Annual Spring Clean-up in District Four will take place
on Saturday, April 21, 2018, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Councilman Harvey Buchanan is urging all District Four citizens to place all brush piles,
trash piles, furniture piles and other debris on the curb for curbside pickup at least one
week in advance.
“Let us continue to keep the atmosphere of District Four safe and clean,” said Councilman
Buchanan.
This is a call for action from Councilman Harvey Buchanan to clean up City Council
District Four.
The city partners collaborating in this District Four cleanup will be the City of Jackson
Street Department, Health and Sanitation Department and Keep Jackson Beautiful
Department, Tennessee Community Services and Waste Management.
“We hope to have everything cleaned up and picked up by Saturday, April 21, 2018,” said
Councilman Buchanan.
