TENNESSEE GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL STUDENTS SET TO ARRIVE ON CAMPUS

GOVERNOR’S SCHOOLS WELCOME STUDENTS – UT Martin will soon welcome students with two Tennessee Governor’s Schools to the main campus. The Tennessee Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences begins May 27, and the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Humanities begins the following Sunday, June 4. UT MARTIN ONLINE HISTORY PROGRAM EARNS NATIONAL RECOGNITION

ONLINE HISTORY PROGRAM RANKED – UT Martin has received a national ranking by Best Accredited Colleges for its online history program. ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING SET MAY 25 AT UT MARTIN

ACTIVE SHOOTER TRAINING – An active-shooter training exercise is scheduled 10-noon, Thursday, May 25, in the Johnson EPS Building on the UT Martin main campus. The building is located next to the Paul Meek Library on Mt. Pelia Road, which will be closed to traffic during the training. UT MARTIN STUDENTS PROVIDE STUDY FOR CENTURY FARM IN BENTON COUNTY

CENTURY FARM RECEIVES STUDENT IDEAS – UT Martin students involved in the advanced farm and ranch management course in fall 2022 created a land-use study for Renee Williams, owner of the Moore Family Century Farm in Benton County. The project’s goal was to generate ideas for the farm that would help create possible revenue streams. The farm was established in 1870 by Williams’ African American ancestors, John and Harriet Strayhorn Moore.
