UT MARTIN SPRING COMMENCEMENT SET FOR MAY 6

MARTIN, TENN., April 28, 2023 – FORD MOTOR CO. OFFICIAL TO SPEAK – UT Martin will hold spring commencement exercises during two in-person ceremonies Saturday, May 6, in the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center. Commencement times are 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and tickets are not required to attend either ceremony. Liliana Ramirez, global director for workforce development, Ford Motor Co., will deliver the commencement address at both ceremonies.

UT MARTIN STUDENTS RECEIVE NATIONAL AFA RECOGNITION

Martin students were chosen by the Agriculture Future of America Organization to represent the AFA in different roles. Those selected were (l, r) Victoria Holliday, a junior agricultural engineering technology major from Lexington, Kentucky; Bree Mills, a sophomore agriculture education major from Decaturville; Libby Rushton, a junior agricultural business major from Waverly; and Sarah Tyler, a sophomore agricultural business major from McEwen.

OVC ANNOUNCES RECIPENTS OF INAUGURAL OUTSTANDING FACULTY AWARD

MARTIN, TENN., April 13, 2023 – OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE HONOREE – Dr. Mahmoud Haddad, professor of finance, was honored by the Ohio Valley Conference during the OVC Basketball Championship, March 1-4, in Evansville, Indiana, when he was announced as UT Martin’s Outstanding Faculty Commitment to Student Success Award recipient. The awards were created by the provosts from OVC-member institutions to recognize outstanding faculty members at each school. Recipients must be associate or full professors in rank and have been employed at the institution for five years. The criteria included impacts of students, contributions made to the department, university and curriculum development, consistent professional development as well as community involvement and institutional service. WESTSTAR TO HOST THE 24 TH ANNUAL AFRICAN AMERICAN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
