UT MARTIN REMOVED FROM ACCREDITATION PROBATION STATUS
UT Martin Interim Chancellor Bob Smith addresses a university-wide meeting
of faculty and staff Jan. 13, 2016, to discuss the university’s accreditation. The university took
major steps to address accreditation issues, and today the Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools Commission on Colleges has officially removed the university from probationary status.
The announcement came during the final day of the 2016 SACSCOC Annual Meeting held Dec.
3-6 in Atlanta, Ga.
