Pursuant to the provisions of the Unsafe Building Abatement Code of

the City of Jackson and T.C.A. 13-21-101 Et. Seq., this is to give

notice that a petition has been filed with the City of Jackson

Building & Housing Codes Department charging that the dwellings or

structures located at the above addresses are unfit human occupation

or use based upon one or more of the following reasons:

 

  1.  The dwelling or structure is dilapidated and in substantial disrepair.

  2.   The dwelling or property has substantial defects which are

dangerous or injurious to the health, safety and morals of the

occupants and users of

       the neighboring structures and/or residents of the City of Jackson.

  3.  The dwelling or structure lacks adequate ventilations, light

and sanitary facilities.

  4.  The dwelling or structure contains defective conditions that

increase the hazards of fire, accident or

       other calamities.

  5.   Conditions exist in the dwelling or structures which render it

unsafe, unsanitary, dangerous or detrimental to the health, safety and

morals of the

       occupants, or users of neighboring structures or other

residents of the City of Jackson.

  6.  The building is in such a condition as to constitute a public nuisance.

 

Please be advised that a hearing will be held before the City Building

Official or a designated agent thereof on the designated date and time

as stated above at the Building Department, 119 East Main Street,

Suite 208, Jackson, Tennessee to determine if the dwelling or

structure is unfit for human occupation or use.  If it is determined

that the dwelling or structure is unfit for human occupation or use,

you may be required to either repair or demolish the dwelling or

structure.  You and any Party of Interest shall have the right to file

a written answer to this Complaint and appear and respond to the same

at the above hearing.
