Fourth Generation to lead kitchen at Baudo's

(1/26/18)  Baudo’s Restaurant is proud to announce the addition of DeAngelo “Dion” Kee as the new Chef at Baudo’s. Kee is the fourth generation of the Baudo family to take the helm in the area's longest running restaurant kichen. Dion is the son of Randy Smith, grandson to Sharon Smith, and great grandson of the restaurant's original owners, Buzz and Helen Baudo.

Dion originally assisted in the kitchen as a teenager several years ago and created the Steak Dion dish that is still featured on the menu today.  He left to sharpen his culinary skills, and for the past few years worked as the Sous Chef at Sweet Grass Restaurant in Memphis under the tutelage of Chef Ryan Trimm, specializing in Low-Country and Carolina-Style cooking.  From there he worked as the Sous Chef under Chef Aaron Winters at The Vault in Memphis, where the specialty is creole-style cooking as well as Pizzas from scratch.

Kee will be bringing his knowledge of butchery, charcuterie, baking, pickling and noveau cooking to Baudo’s while maintaining the quality and excellence that has been the mainstay since its inception in 1965. We hope you will stop in to greet Dion and welcome him back to Jackson!   See more at www.baudos.com
