NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Secretary of State Tre Hargett will present grants in Chester, Decatur, Haywood, Hickman, Lewis, Madison and Perry counties Wednesday.

The grants, distributed through the Tennessee State Library and Archives, will fund library technology training and microfilm reader/scanner purchases.

The secretary’s Wednesday, June 7, 2017, schedule includes:

Details: The Jackson-Madison County Library will receive a $9,000 Library Technology Training Grant.

Sen. Dolores R. Gresham (R-Somerville), Sen. Joey Hensley (R-Hohenwald), Sen. Ed Jackson (R-Jackson), Sen. Kerry Roberts (R-Springfield), Rep. David Byrd (R-Waynesboro), Rep. Michael G. Curcio (R-Dickson), Rep. Jimmy Eldridge (R-Jackson), Rep. Craig Fitzhugh (D-Ripley), Rep. Steve McDaniel (R-Parkers Crossroads), Rep. Johnny Shaw (D-Bolivar) have been invited to participate in events held in their respective districts. Scheduling conflicts could preclude some legislators from attending.
