MARTIN, TENN., Nov. 7, 2022 – BROADCASTING HONORS – UT Martin’s student-
operated radio station, WUTM 90.3 “The Hawk,” was awarded first and second places in both
categories offered in the college competitions at the inaugural Tennessee Association of
Broadcasters “Excellence in Broadcasting” awards banquet. The event was held Oct. 4 at the
Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. (l, r) Davis Gregory, a senior from Knoxville; Blaine
McDonald, a senior from Martin; and Daariq Burton, a senior from Cordova. Not pictured are
Shannon Sullivan, a 2022 meteorology graduate from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Dylan

MARTIN, TENN., Oct. 31, 2022 – LATIMER-SMITH BUILDING DEDICATED – Bill
Latimer addresses the crowd gathered to celebrate the dedication of UT Martin’s new Latimer-
Smith Engineering and Science Building. The event was held Thursday, Oct. 27, at UT Martin.
ONLINE RN-BSN PROGRAM RECOGNIZED – The University of
Tennessee at Martin has received a top-10 ranking in the state by EduMed for its Online RN-to-BSN
Program in nursing. UT Martin was ranked sixth in Tennessee and recognized for its small class sizes,
affordable tuition and career placement success. The complete rankings are available at

MARTIN, TENN., Oct. 24, 2022 – FINDS A NEW COLLEGE HOME – Ellie Puentes has found a new
college home at the University of Tennessee at Martin thanks to Bill and Carol Latimer of Union City.
MARTIN, TENN., October 2022 – DEDICATION SET – The new Latimer Engineering and Science
Building (pictured) will be dedicated during a 3:30 p.m. dedication, Thursday, Oct. 27, at the University
of Tennessee at Martin. The public is invited.
