CAPTE Approves FHU Physical Therapist Assistant Program for Candidate Status.
MARTIN, TENN., August 2, 2022 – NEW DEGREE – An anonymous gift to UT Martin will
support the university’s new Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, an engineering
major developed to meet Tennessee workforce needs. The new degree program has received full
approval from the UT Board of Trustees and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission and
will begin this fall. The program will be taught in the university’s new Latimer Engineering and
Science Building (pictured), which will be completed this fall.

MARTIN, Tenn., July 27, 2022 – FIRST NOYCE GRADUATE – Elizabeth Campbell, of Murfreesboro,
is the first to complete UT Martin’s Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program, which prepared her to
become a classroom teacher in STEM education. Campbell received her education master’s degree in
May and will begin her K-12 education career this fall as a biology and anatomy teacher at Riverdale
High School in Murfreesboro. She is pictured at the university before spring commencement with Dr.
Steve Elliott, professor of mathematics and statistics and UT Martin STEM Center director.
