UT MARTIN STUDENTS TO WORK NASCAR RACES JUNE 18-20 AT NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY

UTM STUDENTS TO WORK NASCAR RACES – Ashley

Shores, public relations and community engagement coordinator for Nashville Superspeedway,

will welcome UT Martin students for three professional NASCAR racing events during the

weekend of June 18-20. The College of Business and Global Affairs students will be assigned

race-day duties throughout the weekend and learn about the inner workings of hosting

professional racing. Shores, pictured at the track, is a 2018 UT Martin communications graduate.

LARGEST SINGLE GIFT IN UT MARTIN HISTORY ANNOUNCED

The gift is the largest single gift in UT Martin history and will allow the university to increase educational program offerings in veterinary health technology and other agricultural disciplines in the near future.

BUILDING COMMUNITY SHINES SPOTLIGHT ON ALEXIS MILLSAPS

MARTIN, Tenn. – Alexis Millsaps prides herself on building community and bringing people together from different backgrounds. She doesn’t engage people for recognition, but her accomplishments were hard to ignore as she earned one of five statewide student Harold Love Community Service Awards in April from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. She then was announced as one of three Paul and Martha Meek Leadership Award recipients during May 8 commencement when she received her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
