ALSTAR AFRICAN AMERICAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT HELD

MARTIN, Tenn., March 14, 2023- ALSTAR AFRICAN AMERICAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT HELD- The University of Tennessee at Martin’s WestStar Leadership Program, along with Alex Beene, assistant coordinator for the State of Tennessee, hosted the ALStar African American Youth Leadership Summit Feb. 14 at the West Tennessee Agriculture Research and Education Center in Jackson. The summit provided an opportunity for African American high school sophomores in West Tennessee to learn from businessmen and women from varying fields of study. Twenty-nine students from Madison County attended the conference. Schools represented include Parkview High School, Jackson Central Merry High School, Madison Academic School, JCM Early College High, Northside High School, Liberty Technology High School, Jackson Academic STEAM Academy and Southside High School.
