FHU Students Partner with RAM to Provide Free Dental Clinic

Henderson, Tennessee (Sept. 9, 2022) — Remote Area Medical – RAM® and Freed-Hardeman University’s RAM Chapter will partner with others on campus and in the community to provide a free pop-up dental clinic Sept. 30-Oct. 1 at the National Guard Armory, 753 E. Main Street in Henderson.

Approximately 20 senior nursing students from FHU, working under the direction of Chris White and Rebecca Bush, will be working triage at the clinic. Between 40 and 50 other students will work as volunteers and Alpha Chi National Honor Society provided a monetary contribution.

The patient parking lot will open at midnight Sept. 29. Upon arrival, patients will receive additional information regarding clinic opening processes and next steps. Clinic doors typically open at 6 a.m. and the free services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Patients must wear masks and complete a COVID-19 screening before entering the clinic. RAM encourages those who want services to arrive early and come prepared to wait. Additional information is available at https://www.ramusa.org/event/henderson-tn-2022/ for more information.
