Campbell to speak at Sept. 24 Union Auxiliary fall luncheon

JACKSON, Tenn. — Mark Campbell, head women’s basketball coach at Union University, will be the featured speaker at the Union Auxiliary’s 21st annual fall luncheon Sept. 24.

In January, Campbell became the fastest college basketball coach in history, across all divisions, to win 600 games. In his 20 years with the Lady Bulldogs, Campbell has compiled a record of 613-94 and has won five national titles.

Campbell coached the 2019 USA Basketball Women’s U16 National Team this summer that won the gold medal at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Chile.

Over the past 21 years, the Auxiliary has given more than $200,000 in scholarships to Union students and hosted regular luncheons with speakers from many areas. The Auxiliary has also held banquets the past three years, featuring Olympian David Boudia and authors Bob Goff and Karen Kingsbury

The luncheon will take place at noon in the Carl Grant Events Center on the Union campus. Tickets can be purchased online at uu.edu/events/auxiliary or by contacting Sheryl Wren at (731) 661-5202. Individual tickets are $20, and tables of eight are $150. The registration deadline is Sept. 17.
