Jackson, Tenn. (October 14, 2019) - The route for the Lane College Homecoming Parade will be slightly modified to increase the safety of parade participants and spectators. Because of the heavy traffic flow on North Highland Avenue, which is a state and US route, and the number of visitors at the West Tennessee Farmer’s Market in downtown Jackson, the Jackson Police Department has asked that Lane College modify its parade route to exclude North Highland Avenue.
The Lane College Homecoming Parade Route is as follows:
Depart Lane College Campus on Lane Avenue to Hays Avenue
South on Hays Avenue to Lexington Avenue
Right on Lexington Avenue, Cross over Royal Street to College Street
Continue on College Street to Left on Church Street
Left on Main Street to Lane Field
End at Lane Field
The parade begins at 8:30 a.m. this Saturday with the tailgating festivities starting at noon at Lane field with the homecoming football game against Kentucky State University kicking off from Lane Field at 2 p.m.
