Upcoming #JMCSS Events

On Tuesday, January 15, a free parent workshop – “Raising Highly Capable Kids” – will kick off.  The 11-week workshop will be held at People of Hope Church on Wallace Road from 12 to 1 p.m. with lunch provided for those who register.  Sessions will be held each Tuesday through April.  To register contact Angela Searcy, Parent & Community Engagement Coordinator, 731-506-3062 or apsearcy@jmcss.org.

Also, on Tuesday, January 15, families of second graders at Arlington, Rose Hill, Andrew Jackson, Alexander, Lincoln and Isaac Lane are invited to Team Read Parent Night at Isaac Lane from 5 to 6 p.m.  Families will have the chance to learn how to help their student and why learning to read in the second grade is so important.

And on Friday, January 18, we invite you to the Community Connection Expo.  It will feature local community agencies and JMCSS personnel will be on hand to provide resources and information.  The expo is from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Church at 160 Campbell Street.
