Local DAR chapter will donate classroom flags to Liberty Magnet High School
The Jackson-Madison Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) will donate 25 classroom flags to Liberty High School to replace classroom flags damaged or missing. The presentation will be held in the school at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support better education for our nation’s children. Its members are descended from the patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War. With more than 175,000 members in approximately 3,000 chapters worldwide, DAR is one of the world’s largest and most active service organizations. DAR is non-partisan and non-political, and welcomes any woman, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove lineage to a Revolutionary War patriot.
Jackson-Madison Chapter NSDAR was chartered in April 1901, and is one of the oldest and most active chapters in the state of Tennessee.
