WESTSTAR WORKING WOMEN’S CONFERENCE CELEBRATES 20 YEARS
MARTIN, Tenn. – The 20 th -annual Working Women’s Conference, sponsored by the University of
Tennessee at Martin WestStar Leadership Program, will be held from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Feb. 9, in the UT Martin Boling University Center’s Duncan Ballroom.
This year’s event centers on the theme of celebrating life to mark two decades of inspiring and
empowering working women. Registration is $40 per person and includes both breakfast and lunch.
The conference’s pre-lunch segment includes Chad Davis, of Davis Wealth Services in Dyersburg; Dr. Debbie Reynolds, of Veterinary Home Healthcare and The Blessed Pet Shop in Martin; Katie Brush
Nickey, of Pure Barre Studio in Jackson; and a surprise keynote speaker in honor of the conference’s anniversary.
Caty Davis, Miss Tennessee 2017, will discuss drug addiction and leadership skills at 11 a.m. Davis’
platform for the Miss Tennessee and Miss America scholarship pageants was “Attacking Addiction:
Prevention, Recovery and Restoring Families.” She is a Knoxville native and graduated from the
University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Following lunch, attendees will hear from Donna Gaines, of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis; Dr. Robbie Melton, with Tennessee Technological University; and Drs. Teresa Collard and Lisa LeBleu, UT Martin faculty members.
