WASHINGTON MAN CHARGED WITH SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF A MINOR

 

CHATTANOOGA – An investigation by Special Agents with the Human Trafficking Unit of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, along with law enforcement officers with Homeland Security Investigations and the Chattanooga Police Department, has resulted in the arrest of a Washington man on multiple charges of sexual offenses against a minor.

 

TBI Special Agents joined agents with Homeland Security and undercover officers with the Chattanooga Police Department in investigating reports of crime against children in Hamilton County. During the course of the investigation, Agents received information about a man who was attempting to arrange a videotaped encounter with a 9-year-old female. Law enforcement officers developed information that identified Mark Gould of Port Orchard, Washington, as that individual, and he was apprehended in Chattanooga.

 

On January 24th, Mark Douglas Gould (DOB 03/10/1969) was arrested and charged with one count of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, one count of Rape of a Child, and one count of Soliciting Sexual Exploitation of a Minor by Electronic Means. Gould was booked into the Hamilton County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
