Jackson Police investigate an early morning shooting

Jackson Police continue investigating an early morning shooting that occurred in the Lincoln Courts Housing area. Around 2:10 a.m., Jackson Police responded to a shooting in the area of 255 Lincoln Courts were responding officers located a female who had sustained a gunshot injury.   This female was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Currently, Jackson Police have a suspect in custody and are not looking for any additional suspects. This is an ongoing case. If anyone has information that could assist in this investigation, contact the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400.
