The TBI Public Information Office would like to invite you…and anyone else from your newsroom…to bring your cameras and your questions to our TBI Media Day event on Tuesday, June 12th, at TBI Headquarters in Nashville.
This is a great opportunity to get information, video, and one-on-one interviews with Agents who work in a variety of areas within the Bureau.
Want to know more about opioids and other drug-related issues, cybercrime, AMBER Alerts, Top 10 Alerts and human trafficking? We will have a panel of Special Agent subject matter experts available to answer your questions about these topics we’re often asked about.
You can also get a tour of our Nashville lab, where our Forensic Scientists will explain how evidence is collected and processed. This is the one time a year we’re able to bring you inside to tour the lab space and see how some of these tests are conducted.
We’ll also show you a demonstration of how our accelerant dog works on scenes, to better determine how fires may have been set. And you can tour our mobile command center and Violent Crimes Response Team unit, to have a better understanding as to how these units are used to response to significant crime events.
You’ll have a chance to get plenty of photos and video for your archives/ files, and interviews for current and/or holder pieces. Some reporters in past years have gathered enough interviews to do stories for several days.
Please bring anyone… editors, reporters, producers, photographers, assignment editors…from your news organization as you think can benefit from having this information available.
The Media Day event runs from 12:30p through 4:15p at our Headquarters at 901 R.S. Gass Boulevard, 37216. We’ll have light snacks available. Please RSVP to this email address if you and/or someone from your newsroom plans to attend, and contact us should you have any questions.
