TBI Media Day

The TBI Public Information Office would like to invite you to bring your cameras and questions to our TBI Media Day event on Tuesday, October 30th, at our office in Knoxville.

This will be the first TBI Media Day held at our Knoxville facility. We hope this will allow more of you to attend from the East region of the state. It’s a great opportunity to get information, video, and one-on-one interviews with Agents who work in a variety of areas within the Bureau.

Want to know more about opioids and other drug-related issues, human trafficking, and AMBER Alerts? We will have a panel of subject matter experts available to answer your questions about these topics.

You will also get a tour of our Knoxville Crime Lab, where Forensic Scientists will explain how evidence is collected and processed. Media Day is the only time we are able to bring you inside to tour the lab.

You will also get a tour of one of the Violent Crime Response Team trucks, to have a better understanding of how these units are used to respond to major incidents.

You’ll have a chance to get plenty of photos and video for your archives/ files, and interviews for current and/or future stories. Please bring anyone from your news organization that would benefit from having this information.

The Media Day event runs from 12:30p through 4:15p at our Knoxville office located at 1791 Neals Commerce Lane.  We’ll have light snacks available.  Please RSVP to TBI.Media@tn.gov if you and/or someone from your newsroom plan to attend. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
