Madison County Sheriff John Mehr has issued a familiar public alert and warning.
Those jury duty scams are back!!
In the past 24 hours, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office has been flooded with concerned citizens calling about
telephone scams regarding missed jury duty.
The caller threatens by stating that a warrant has been issued in their name and unless they send payment by credit cards or green dot payment cards they will be arrested.
The Sheriff emphasized the MCSO never threatens by phone and does not ask for money & urges citizens to ignore or hang up because this is a scam and they want your money.
