MEMPHIS – Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have arrested two additional men in the ongoing investigation into a January homicide in Covington.
At the request of 25th District Attorney General Mike Dunavant, TBI Agents began investigating the death of Timothy Edwards on January 19th, shortly after officers from the Covington Police Department discovered the body of the 38-year-old in his Douglas Street home. During the course of the investigation, with the assistance of the Covington Police Department and the Tipton County Sheriff’s Department, Agents developed information leading to Christian Sherrill, Darrell Owens, and Willie Lee Somerville as three of the individuals responsible for playing a part in the incident.

Agents served Somerville with warrants charging him with two counts of Coercion of a Witness in mid-February. At the time of this release, he remained in the custody of the Tipton County Jail on unrelated charges.
In January, the TBI announced the arrests of Eddie Lee Poindexter III and Armoni De’Quan Hall in connection to this case, in a news release available online at TBINewsroom.com. The investigation into the incident continues, with the possibility of additional charges.
