MEMPHIS – Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit have obtained an indictment for a vocational services employee charged with the abuse of a patient.

After receiving information from Adult Protective Services about a complaint of adult abuse, TBI Special Agents began investigating Christina Allen in November 2016. At the time, Allen was a direct support professional at a vocational education center for the intellectually disabled on Knight Arnold Road. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that identified Allen as the individual responsible for the physical assault of a patient at that location in October 2016. Allen is no longer an employee at that business.

On March 27th, the Shelby County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Christina Allen (DOB 10/30/1991) with one count of Adult Abuse/ Neglect/ Exploitation. She was arrested on April 13th, and booked into the Shelby County Jail East. She has since been released after posting a $30,000 bond.
