WEAKLEY COUNTY MAN CHARGED WITH ARSON AND INSURANCE FRAUD
JACKSON– A joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Fire Investigative Services and the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department has resulted in the arrest of a Sharon man on charges of arson and insurance fraud.
On September 25th, TBI Special Agents joined investigators with TFIS to investigate the circumstances surrounding a structure and vehicle fire that occurred at 104 Boxx Road in Sharon. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the homeowner, Kevin Fuller, called 911 on September 24th and reported that someone had vandalized his vehicle. Officers with the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call and took a report. On September 25th, officers responded to the same address after a neighbor reported that Fuller’s garage was on fire. Upon arrival, the fire had spread from the garage to Fuller’s residence. The Sharon Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. Further investigation revealed that Fuller was not only responsible for vandalizing his vehicle on September 24th, but also for setting the fire that occurred the next evening.
On October 12th, warrants were obtained for Kevin Wayne Fuller, 29, charging him with Aggravated Arson, Insurance Fraud, Vandalism and Filing a False Report. Today, Fuller was arrested and booked into the Weakley County Jail.
